Still stressed out with life stuff (how about you?) The doodling is helping though! This week is the end of uni and we have a 2 week mid semester break coming up. I do have some work to catch up on, but am hoping to also get on some craft things that have been languishing. And maybe I will finish those wedding thank you cards *blushes* since we have been married for 6 months now (yay!)
Colour Wash on 225gsm paper using Monte Marte (read budget) woodless water colour pencils, lined with Unipin 0.1mm liner and coloured with Derwent Studio pencil crayons. Tangles used are Fescu, Paradox, Mooka, Betweed, Phicops by B-Rad and Abundies by Hanny Waldburger.
I have not been sticking strictly to the One Zentangle a Day book (I am now at Day 14 I think). I have done a fair bit of just what I feel like stuff, without rules or taking on new skills. Don’t get me wrong I love the format of the book and the way it is written and the way it guides you through things, but I wanted to go off on a tangent a bit before getting back into it.
Unipin 0.1mm, Copic Mulitiliner 0.05mm and pencil on 250gsm smooth card. This is for It’s a String Thing 110 hosted and curated by Adele Bruno. It uses tangles Maisie by Carla Jennings, Antidots by Anita Roby Lavery – This is the same as Feathering in free motion quilting so I am quite comfortable with drawing this already, and Nzeppel which is really fun to do, because it is very exciting to see the grid come to life like that! String is String 110 by Beth Snoderly and can be found on Tangle Patterns.
Shaded version is below.
The rest are just what I felt like doing when faced with the blank page 🙂
This was done on 11ogsm paper with Unipin 0.1mm, Some of the tangle used are Finery, Mooka, Onomato, Trio by Hanny Waldburger and Auraleah by Carla Du Preez
This is done on 250gsm smooth white card with various pens including Unipin 0.1mm, Copic Multiliner 0.1mm and Steadtler Triplus 0.3mm liner, Tangles include betweed, flux, Hollibaugh and tipple.
This was my first attempt at colouring using alcohol brush markers and I am not that good at staying in the lines (yet!) I also found the paper and smoothness of the copic multiliner 0.05mm very tough (evidenced in the combination of printeps and spoolies in my first tangle layer). Pen was sliding all over the place and I felt I had very little control. I also used a Staedtler triplus 0.3mm liner and coloured the image with Mepxy Markers and Staedtler Triplus 0.3mm liners. Tangles used are Keeko, Tipple, Shattuck, Printeps, Leaflet by Helen Williams, Pixioze by Margaret Bremner and Spoolies by Hanny Waldburger.
That’s all for now, off to unburden my brain!
Good Night Wherever you Are!
