my blog, yes, this very blog you are reading, that I have failed to update for the last 4+ months.

My health streak fell on it’s arse just before Christmas when the contract I was working in came to an unexpected hault. I fell in a bit of a heap, then of course,  there was Christmas itself and the New Year, and then I started a new contract and was focussing on that and then it was valentines day and then my birthday and blink it’s 4 months later. I will probably have to go back to the start of my fitness journey again as my inaction has probably atrophied any of the gains I made last year.

Here and there I did some crafty things, but I can’t remember the last time I touched my sewing machine in a meaningful way.

The princess swap that I got the lovely outfits photographed on my Shona Dollmore Kid doll (who I name Mielikki – Finnish Goddess of Forests and the Hunt) had a bit  of tough end. One of the participants didn’t receive her gift and since I didn’t have any work at the time, I volunteered to make her an outfit (actually other participants didn’t get theirs as well and some others also volunteered). These are some photos of the outfit, also on Mielikki.

There was a long line  jacket with frilled edge; a long skirt (both with a tiny houndstooth print); A sleeveless top with heart and lace detailing. The fascinator in the photo above, the necklace and my first attempt at a corset complete with punched eyelets.

I have some new dolls to introduce to0. Inara finally got her body and then finally got her wig. Qberry had to get new hair too, the old hair was bit chewed up by our dear kitty… but I quite like the new one, what do you think?

you see little Piper’s hoof there in the photo – well it has finally been painted. I am going to do a seperate post about that because I am so excited and will no doubt be a bit verbose as I am wont to do when excited. I am also working on updating the look of my blog, the plan was to wait until it was completed then do a big reveal with a new post, but if I waited till I did it then I would probably be neglecting posts for even longer, so I have decided to face the music and start writing again.

I got something new too a piercing.  A lot of people are a bit squeamish about this one, but if you think about it’s just two ear piercings in the helix at the same time.  It is called an industrial, and this photo (taken 26th January) was the day I got it, and the jewellery is very plain, but I have ordered a beautiful piece to go in it and hope to get that soon-ish and will do show and tell with that too.

All these photos are from my phone, so not the greatest quality, apologies for that, but here is one last one. I also got new hair, well less hair and went for a super short crop just before my birthday.  I turned 39 this year (I’m serious this is not the 39 that women languish at for years for fear of 40, this is my first time).  We went away to the Yorke Peninsula for the long weekend and had a wonderful time with my family and I also got this gorgeous bunch of flowers from my Alan.

So on that note, I am endeavouring to come back and tell you about how Piper got her hooves blushed and all about my new (permanent) job that I get to start in a week and all the exciting crafty plans I have.

Hope you are all well
Good Night, Wherevere you are!
