I believe that I am nearly ready to slide back into blog land – when I say slide – think sort of treacle or maple syrup pace, rather than skidding into a corner and then taking off at speed in a different angle.  I think with most of us when the essentials start to fall apart, hobbies are the first to suffer, particularly those that only involve us.  Essentials for most of us would equate to paying the rent/mortgage, putting food on the table, looking after your loved ones and working to get that (if you are retired you already worked to get that, and if you’re a mom and are at home then that still counts as working).
Well the essentials are back on track and I have slowly started to invest more time (over the last month or so) on my hobbies. So this is a bit of a pictorial to get you up to date with where I am at.  I am even (shock horror) contemplating adding another hobby – I do believe all of my hobbies are interrelated and bits of some of them can be practised at the same time so they are not in too much conflict with me as a person.

The first thing that started creeping back  into my spare time is quilting – after a long holiday my sewing machine was touched again – it is resting now though, since I have moved on a bit to handwork.  I don’t think I ever really stopped adding to my crafting stash – after all who doesn’t like having new things?.  Without blogging about it (sorry) I have now completed four blocks in the Vignette In Stitches Mystery BOM quilt.  Two of them were just waiting on shoo-fly blocks and two were not even started and have now been completed.

Other than showing interested passers-by to Little Top Cottage what I had done already, I have not yet gone back to any miniature work and my bjds have been very neglected.  I have picked up my digital SLR to record some of my life but have not spent a lot of time trying to improve my photography.  I have ignored flickr and I have not been reading any of your blogs.  I’m pretty sure all of this will start to change and I will be back to reasonably regular blogging about reasonably regular activity with all I find fun and would like to share.
