So this week I continued with cutting for Vignette.  I thought I may get everything cut out, but when I started making silly mistakes (like cutting 13/8 inch strips instead of 23/8 inch strips) and my back got a bit achey, I thought I better stop.

Vignette Cutting, nearly all my pieces cut and all applique pieces traced

I traced and cut out all of the applique pieces (not individually just in groups on the fabric required).  I added the shoo fly pieces for Block 14 and 15, I had completed the ones for Block 16 when I finished block 1, and last week I cut out the ones for Block 8 and 12.  I still have to cut the pieces for the shoofly blocks for Block 13.

My piles still look very neat, but I just lined them up that way, the other sides of the piles are a little less uniform because most of the fabrics have been hacked a bit by now.  There still looks like there will be a fair bit of it left though, doesn’t bother me in the slightest, I am sure I will find plenty of fun projects to use them for.

23 Fabrics need 4 2 inch blocks cut... I have 17 of them left to go

at least I know  that next time I will be able to complete all the cutting.  All that’s left are these 2 inch blocks and the shoo fly block pieces for block 13.  No I didn’t deliberately leave block 13 for last, it just happened that way.

Those will be a lot of Shoo Fly Blocks... and there are still some more to be cut!
