I have recently received 3 bjds and I haven’t really introduced any of them after their arrival.

Over our long weekend I had the opportunity to take some photos of her so thought I would show her off.  This is a mould called Shuang Shuang and was made by Doll Zone. She was one of the first BJDs that caught my eye, so when I heard that Doll Zone was going to discontinue her, I had to get her.  Because she (and a few other dolls) were being discontinued, they were also on sale for 75% of the original price.  So I decided to get a full set instead of just a doll with blushing.

Purchasing a full set means that you (usually) get an entire outfit, a wig, a pair of eyes and face blushing.  Other than mimi, who had clothes and eyes and  a wig (but was purchased second hand) she would be the first full set doll I purchased.  I thought about names for a while and eventually settled on Li-Hua which means pear blossom. (I did read a few meanings online for the name so if you are Chinese or speak Chinese and know better, please let me know!).

Li-Hua arrived the same day as Q-Berry so they share a birthday of the 4th September.  I had been waiting on QBerry’s tracking id to update for over a month and Li-Hua arrived within a few days of knowing I would receive her.  I don’t actually remember what was going on at the time, but I was a bit down and I think this effected how I felt about her when I opened her box a couple of days after she arrived.

I thought her eyes were a bit googly and her body was a bit strange (compared to Mimi – Kaylee has a very different shape, so I was expecting her quirkiness).  I will probably re-string her in the medium term.  I had to take off her hand to put on her bracelet and it took me ages to get her hand back on. I also had a lot of trouble with her wig (flinging it across the room by accident kind of trouble). I was exhausted by the time I dressed her and then felt almost no excitement at getting her.

Basically I think that was all down to my mood at the time, because I really do think she is adorable. She has a cute outfit, lovely shoes and a great wig.  The body can kneel comfortable which is not an easy position for BJDs to keep and I am more tolerant of it now, because of her maneouvrability.  I bought bigger eyes to replace hers because and I don’t think they are too googley!
