Tiny BJDs are generally Yo-SD sized or smaller so less than 28cm tall. Some of them can get really teeny, but you will meet at least one teeny in the next few months, as I have one on order and I bought a littlee for my sister in law too.  I don’t seem to be attracted to larger BJDs at present so I have no plans for acquiring a bigger doll.

Doll Companies tend to have events during specific times of the year where they offer specials for a period of time. One of these companies offered a free face up for your doll if you purchased a doll and accessories and your total order came to over a certain $. Anyhoo, there was a doll from them that I desperately wanted (ie I kept repeatedly visiting the dolls information page, even though it had been sold out for a while).

The site did say the doll was not limited and that it would be offered again, so I decided to ask if any would be available during the summer event period. I was told they had no immediate plans to make more of the dolls, but that they did have one left and I could have her if I wanted.  So even though I didn’t really plan on this purchase, I had to say yes when given the opportunity.

So dolly is named Kaylee after the character Kaylee in the tv series Firefly, a big favourite of mine.  She is a Souldoll Sweet Lappy Angel with default make up.  She arrived with random blue eyes and a random red/orange wig, which I think suits her quite well.  Because she was already waiting (other than her face-up) she also arrived in a really short period of time.  So much so that she is home ahead of three other dolls which were ordered before her.

My first real peek of Kaylee was her wrapped up like a mummy with a protective face plate, it was so exciting. She had some extra parts and some extra elastic (unfortunately too thick for her I found out later) and some extra eye putty. (used to keep eyes in place).

Most dolls that include eyes have random coloured eyes included, so I was really hoping that she would arrive with blue eyes as per her promotional photos, because I thought they looked really adorable with the default face up that she was coming with (face painting).

This is the default face up for the Lappy Angel, but so very hard to resist!

After I got her out of all the mummy regalia, she could say Hi!
